I love to minister the Word. Why?” Because He is my Hope and Shield:
· When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. (Psalm 94:19)
· I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:1–2)
However, there are times, like today, when His Word provided little consolation. I was under such demonic attack that the Word was unable to rescue me. For example, I read:
· You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. (Isaiah 26:3)
I’m ashamed to say that I reacted with skepticism:
· Lord, my mind is fixed on You and I trust in you, but where is your promised peace? I am tormented.
However, I recalled the many times when the Lord had delivered me, and I was cheered once again:
· And they have conquered [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. (Revelation 12:11)
Recalling my testimony—what the Lord had done for me—He enabled me to stand. I had been in flight-mode but recalling those instances of His love for me had once again enabled me to stand “even unto death!” I was reminded that I could trust in Him.
I pray that you also have such a testimony, but, if you lack one, I trust that the Lord will provide that testimony as needed.
Try this verse - James —submit to god, resist the devil and he will flee from you. I have discovered, i can receive nothing from our father i have surrendered everything to him.
