WHO MADE GOD?

 

 

This is a common skeptical response to the Christian who says that there must be a God to account for the many artifacts of intelligent design.

 

The Christian response it that there must be a single, eternal, an uncaused Causer to account for everything else. Otherwise, we are left with its alternative - everything sprang into existence uncaused from nothing, even the laws of science, matter, matter, time, and space, and somehow these were able to mindlessly conspire together to create this elegant, enduring, and harmonious universe. Besides, if these elements just simply appeared, there would be no reason to not expect other new elements to just appear.

 

Consequently, such a “reality” would be a science-killer. Why? Science assumes that this is a cause for each effect. However, if things just continue to spring uncaused into existence, science would have to admit that sometimes effects lack causes.

 

The God hypothesis only requires one leap of faith in favor of a Creator who can account for the existence of all else - life, the laws of science, the fine-tuning of the universe, consciousness, freewill, objective morality...

 

Besides, naturalism faces what seems to be myriad insurmountable challenges:

 

·       There is no evidence that anything is natural or has ever been naturally caused. Instead, the causal laws of science give every evidence of ID - their elegance, knowability, universality, and immutability. Even the smallest atom represents a marvel of design and functionality.

 

·       The Second Law of Thermodynamics, the law of entropy, conforms to the God and not the naturalistic hypothesis.

 

·       The First-Law of Thermodynamics asserts that matter and energy can neither be created or destroyed, ruling against the possibility of a naturalistic development of the universe.

 

There are many accounts of the supernatural. Many have even experienced the miracles of God or of the demonic, a direct affront to the naturalistic hypothesis.

 

Who then made God? He always is, and everything points back to their Creator.
