ACCORDING TO FACEBOOK, LOVE SHOULD REPLACE JUSTICE, THE POLICE, AND THE MILITARY

Breitbart just announced that:

·       Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has spoken out against the “fear and distrust” caused by recent Islamist terror attacks and has called for more “love” as a means of stopping them.

Wondering if more love could truly stop ISIS and the many other Islamic terror groups and whether Zuckerberg really uttered these words, I turned to his Facebook post to read:

·       Each of these attacks [in Belgium, Pakistan, Nigeria, Paris, San Bernardino] was different, but all had a common thread: they were carried out with a goal to spread fear and distrust, and turn members of a community against each other. I believe the only sustainable way to fight back against those who seek to divide us is to create a world where understanding and empathy can spread faster than hate, and where every single person in every country feels connected and cared for and loved. That's the world we can and must build together.

I guess that the 70 innocent Christians just slaughtered and the 300 others maimed in Lahore failed to love their Muslim neighbors enough. And the six million Jews slaughtered in the Holocaust were also evidently love-deficient.

Instead, it doesn’t seem that Muslim terrorists are love-deficient, as they go raping their way across infidel lands or simply kidnapping non-Muslims as sex-slaves. I was wondering, “How much more love will they need before they can become love-satisfied?”

Meanwhile, I am still waiting for Facebook to show some of that love to me. I have been blocked by Facebook on numerous occasions. Fortunately, they would provide me a window to ask “why.” Of course, I eagerly availed myself of these windows so I could learn of my misdeeds and rectify my ways according to their loving standards. However, I never once got a reply from them. Hmmm?

Perhaps Facebook’s style of love is the silent-treatment. They will surely win me into compliance through their loving silence, but Facebook has left me in a state of total ignorance, unable to comply with their standards.

Silence is golden. I wonder whether Facebook will issue a plea to open our prison doors and simply require our offenders to sit together with their prison guards and share love. Or perhaps we should bring together the victims of rape with their rapists and encourage them to just love each other.

Evidently, we have misunderstood the concept of justice for the centuries of human existence. Instead, Zuckerberg would have us eliminate the entire criminal justice system in favor of a massive love-fest. Gee, why hadn’t we thought of this before?

REFUGEES AND MURDERERS

The resettlement of 3000 Christian “lost boys of Sudan” in the USA in 2001 has been called perhaps “the most successful resettlement in U.S. History.” Seeing their villages destroyed and their sisters sold into Islamic slavery, they fled by foot to a refugee camp in Kenya. Here’s how 60 minutes describes it:

·       Twelve years ago, 60 Minutes aired a story about Lost Boys from Sudan who fought off unspeakable dangers and then flew off to the United States. It all began in the 1980s, during Sudan's civil war in which more than two million people died. The boys' parents were killed; their sisters often sold into slavery. Many of the boys died too. But the survivors, thousands of them, started walking across East Africa. Alone.

·       Five years later they walked into a refugee camp in Kenya. That's where we first met them, when many were hoping to go to the United States. Well 3,000 did, as part of the largest resettlement of its kind in American history. We followed the boys for more than a decade and couldn't resist revisiting them, to see how they're doing… Springtime 2001.

·       Please see this incredible set of videos: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-lost-boys-of-sudan-12-years-later-02-04-2013/

Given the fact that these boys had made such a successful adjustment to the U.S., the question must be asked: “Why is the West resettling in their midst many thousands of Islamic refugees and hardly any Christian refugees?”

In 2011, Jewish activist Pamela Geller wrote:

·       Christians are in imminent danger across the world, and yet they are being refused refugee status, while Muslim refugee immigration goes on unimpeded. U.S. policy regarding refugee resettlement would shock most Americans if they only knew. The United Nations picks who gets to come to the U.S. as a refugee. The mandate of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is to determine which of the world’s huddled masses comes to the U.S. as humanitarian refugees. And predictably, this U.N. body is favoring Muslims. Christians from Muslim lands are being refused refugee status. This is occurring despite the fact that in their home countries, under the Shariah, Christians face persecution and many times certain death for their religious beliefs. At the same time, whole Muslim communities are entering the U.S. by the tens of thousands per month, despite the fact that in their home countries they face no religious persecution. http://www.wnd.com/2011/11/372525/#OF96g0qkqTLC5m6a.99

CBNNews reported:

·       Christian Syrian refugees have found temporary shelter in Jordan, but their immigration requests have been rejected by Western countries. Some of them have spoken to the Associated Press, but want to remain anonymous for safety reasons. One Syrian refugee said, "Everyone sold whatever they owned in Syria in order to get here, so that we could apply for visas at an embassy. We were all surprised to be rejected on the basis that there was no reason for us to go to Europe. Their reasons were all false - nothing correct in them." Another man said that western countries "were supposed to support us, and they were supposed to facilitate our immigration process as Christians, and I'm very sad that they haven't." http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/world/2013/December/Christian-Syrian-Refugees-Denied-Visas-to-West/

Meanwhile, in June 2015, the Examiner wrote:

·       President Barack Obama … is unilaterally bringing thousands of Syrian refugees into the United States.

·       Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee Michael McCaul, R-Texas, wrote the letter directly to President Obama and voiced his reluctance to supporting Obama's plans to resettle another 2,000 Syrian refugees in the United States in 2015.

·       In his letter, McCaul reminded the Commander in Chief that radical Muslim terrorists are boasting about their plans to exploit any international refugee program in order to help terrorists to enter the nations of the European Union and the U.S. homeland. Congressman McCaul addressed the potential national security threat Obama's compassionate sounding refugee program poses to the United States and the American people whose money is paying for the housing, food, healthcare and other benefits given to refugees.

·       “Despite all evidence towards our homeland’s vulnerability to foreign fighters, the Administration still plans to resettle Syrian refugees into the United States," McCaul said in his letter to the President.

·       According the Combat Veterans PAC, some of the Syrian immigrants pose a serious risk to American national security and public safety. In addition, the Obama administration is paying at least $10 billion to resettle this new wave of immigrants, the PAC informed the Examiner.

·       "Why are American citizens putting up with this insanity? We have millions of illegal immigrants being fast-tracked for citizenship by an administration that believes a large number of American citizens are 'extremists,' and citizens seem blind that our children's and grandchildren's inheritance is being squandered by anti-American politicians or feckless leaders," said former U.S. Marine and police detective Sid Franes. http://www.examiner.com/article/obama-s-muslim-refugee-program-endangers-american-people-lawmaker

And how about Christian refugees who face extermination, rape and forced conversion at the hands of Muslims? Abraham H. Miller writes:

·       America is about to accept 9000 Syrian Muslims, refugees of the brutal war between the Assad regime and its Sunni opposition, which includes ISIS, Al Qaeda, and various other militias. That number is predicted to increase each year. There are no Christian refugees that will be admitted. Why? Because the Department of State is adhering with all the rigidity of a Soviet era bureaucracy to the rule that only people at risk from massacres launched by the regime qualify for refugee status. The rapes of Christian women and the butchery of Christian children do not count. https://theflyingcameldotorg.wordpress.com/2015/01/11/obamas-america-no-room-for-christian-refugees/

This is worse than insanity. It is treason to resettle those who want to destroy the West and to impose Islamic rule, ala ISIS, to which many are going for training. Meanwhile, our leaders are refusing to acknowledge the problem, continuing to call Islam “a religion of peace,” even after a poll conducted by Al Jazeera determined that 81% of Muslims approve of ISIS. I guess they must regard them as Islamic.

Why not insist that Muslim nations take in Muslim refugees, and “Christian” nations take in Christian refugees, those who are willing to make a positive adjustment?

Give no Rest to your Voice

What would a church service look like in Hitler’s Germany? As people disappeared, never to be heard from again, and as reports came back of mass exterminations, would the sermons address these horrors? Would they instead be content to continue to just preach salvation and sanctification? Would the leadership argue that the church has no business preaching politics? Would the pastor not mention Jews being herded onto cattle-cars? Would he not direct a public outcry?

However, we need not place ourselves in Hitler’s Germany to ask these questions. Today, we are surrounded by reports, photos, and even boastings of genocide, beheadings, and the kidnapping of thousands of wives and girls for sex slavery. For example, in Nigeria alone, many thousands of Christians have been slaughtered and kidnapped:

The horrors have reached proportions that have never before been seen. Entire communities of Christian have been utterly destroyed. Countries have been emptied of Christians, and the persecutors threaten to continue their rampages, aided by many nations. The church can no longer remain silent. We can no longer claim that we are called to preach the “Gospel” alone! Instead, the Gospel has profound implications.

Jesus certainly didn’t limit His teachings to matters of salvation and sanctification. For Him, the Gospel had to express itself in action:

  • "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' … The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'” (Matthew 25:34-45)
We can no longer shy away from these concerns, claiming that we might lose church members or politicize the Gospel. Instead, the Gospel requires us reach out to the broken:

  • This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:16-18)
John restricted his concern to “material possessions.” However, millions of our brethren have experienced and are facing far worse today – the taking of their wives and daughters for sex slavery and the beheading of their sons through no fault of their own.

We have never conceived of such mass horrors, and yet we remain silent, and our silence makes a mockery of our religion. God cries out through the Prophet Isaiah:

  • "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-- when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? (Isaiah 58:6-7)
However, the church is confronted with far worse today – the extermination of entire populations of Christians and other non-Muslims! Why then do we remain silent? Are we afraid of the results? Ironically, if we are really concerned about the results, we must act:

  • If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:10-11)
We cannot model our lives after the priest who passed by the dying man. If we love our neighbor, we must instead model our lives after the Good Samaritan. What did his religion look like?

  • Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)
If this is true, we have to cry out for the oppressed! We have to awaken the conscience of the church.

What if we fail to raise our voices? It is nothing short of sin:

  • Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins. (James 4:17)
However, it is even worse. It is a betrayal and a rejection of the Gospel, which requires us to show the world our love for the brethren:

  • “I [Jesus] pray… that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” (John 17:20-23)
Where is our unity? Where is our love for our brethren? Silence does not speak of love. Nor does it speak of our oneness in our Savior.

Brethren, please commit this to prayer. Have your churches pray. Start prayer chains and prayer groups. Bring these concerns into your churches, to your pastors, and to anyone who will listen. Cry out and be heard. Support those Christian groups that have been intervening. Do not give your voice any rest:

  • Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:11)

Islamo-Realism

My Response to a Liberal Anonymous Christian:

Thanks for your concerned and thoughtful response:

·       If you are concerned about human rights violations, then you'd focus on the violations and not use the violations to prove some point about the religion. Islam is a false religion--which, as it happens, means that there is no "true" interpretation of it. I know several Muslims who believe that the Koran teaches love and mercy and there are many like them Maybe they're wrong about the "real" meaning of the Koran, but that's not the point. The problem with Islamophobia is that it tends to lump all Muslims into the category of either terrorist supporters or potential terrorist supporters.

I appreciate your response because these are substantive issues – issues with which I have long struggled. You are right that my main concerns are the “human rights violations.”  I don’t see how I can stay silent as these appalling rapes, forced conversions and genocides continue through much of the Islamic (and communistic world).

However, if these were isolated instances, you would be correct to question my concerns about Islam. While it is true that a certain minority of Muslims – like the Sufis - do not take their holy writings literally, the vast majority of Muslims do take them literally and want to impose sharia law wherever they can. As a consequence of this, there is not a single Muslim nation where non-Muslim have not been reduced to a second class status and sometimes even far worse.

For the exception of very brief periods, this seems to have been their historical experience under Islam. Therefore, although I am pleased whenever a human rights issue can be successfully addressed, it also should be observed that these problems have been ubiquitous under Islam. We can treat the symptoms, but if the underlying cause remains, it will just re-express itself, as it now does, wherever there is a sizeable Islamic population, as we are beginning to find in the West.

I think that it is unfair to compare conservative Christians to Muslim terrorists:

·       I don't think that Jesus taught us to be hypocrites on human rights, but the fact is that conservative Christians in the US tend to be hypocritical on human rights. It's no accident that the Bible Belt was also the place where Jim Crow was established.

Were these really Bible-believing Christians or were they merely cultural Christians, more similar to our liberals? I really don’t know. Please also bear in mind that it was Bible-believing Christians who had vigorously campaigned against slavery here and brought it to an end in England under the leadership of William Wilberforce.

Admittedly, Christians have done terrible things, betraying their faith. However, when they did so, it wasn’t because of their religion had given them encouragement. However, the Islamic terrorists are finding direct support for their actions from the Koran and Hadiths and are claiming to be the true Muslims.

Westerners naively think that the Islamic experience will be different in the West. They think that we have to sharply distinguish between the terrorists and the “majority of peace-loving moderate Muslims.” However, they are in denial about the nature of Islam, Islamic nations, and the historical Islamic experience. They wrongly regard Islam as vacuous, neutral, and capable of promoting any number of interpretations and peaceful expressions. To point these things out is not Islamophobia but Islamo-realism.
