CAN SCIENCE PROVE GOD

 

The skeptic demands that we prove the existence of God. However, when we respond that we are surrounded by the evidences intelligent design, the skeptic might respond:

 

·       Well, these are just the appearances of design. I want you to prove scientifically that these appearance represent intelligent design.

 

Let’s back up for a second and ask, “What is science but repeated systematic observations!” If this is so, then science is based upon observations, the very building blocks of science upon which science depends.

 

If these observations are the building blocks of science, then we cannot trust the findings of science unless we can first trust our observations. Therefore, if our observations come first, then we can trust our observations that the objects of this universe are all intelligently designed, even the smallest bacteria or atom. How do we know this? Because chance, Big Bang explosions, and even the laws of science cannot create intelligent design (ID) unless design is already inherent even in the laws and the phenomena of the universe.

Just take the creation of symmetrical crystals. Their order is already built into their chemical makeup. Therefore, we can turn the tables on the skeptic and challenge them for any evidence that anything or any cause is natural. There is no such evidence! Consequently, what the Bible has written is clearly true:

·       For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are WITHOUT EXCUSE. (Romans 1:18–20)
